TRAINING COURSE "VOLUNTEERS IN ACTION" 
Hvar - CROATIA

Training  Course  "Volunteers in action" aimed  at  developing skills of youth workers, youth leaders, multipliers and volunteers in developing and promoting intercultural learning and  participation of young people and through volunteer projects with high impact on the volunteers and the local community. Participants deepen  their  knowledge  on  the  subject  of  intercultural  and  nonformal learning, and received some of the tools and resources for planning cross-border volunteering projects. They explore the impact of intercultural non-formal learning, volunteering and sharing of best practices in promoting and increasing the visibility of intercultural learning and volunteering, as well as develop new practices.  Possibilities  of  using  Youthpass  the  activities  of  the  Youth  in Action as a tool for self-reflection and evaluation were also topics 

of our project.

 

 

The theme of this training course is how to getting the deepest impact and visibility of volunteering  projects and  how  volunteering  can  give chances to intercultural, non-formal learning. The  organisations  selected  to be  promoters  in this  training  course  work  in  the  area  of  local, national or international volunteering, where  volunteers  are  encountered with intercultural non-  or informal learning  and  are  developing  ways  to 

promote  it  to  the  broader  public  or integrate it more in their daily work. For the conduction of the TC, we was orientate on the following principles: Hand,  Heart  and  Head  -  Holistic Approach (Skills, Knowledge and Attitudes); Safe Space (Trust in the place and  methods/  Values  based);  Communication  and  Mutual  Understanding  (Open  Mind);  Responsibility  for one’s  Own  Choice  (Participation); Interactive;  Trainees-Centred;  Learning from Experience; Take into account  individual  and  group  learning (using  group  as  a resource);  Motivation;  Personal  contribution;  Multiplier effect;  Non-formal  approach  with theoretical inputs.

 

WE ARE....

Youth Association "Pharina” association at the level of activity of the island. Brings together young people from 14-35 years, who live in this area. The scope of action, we are very wide from working with high school age in the development of tolerance and democracy, preparing them for admission to colleges and orientation in the new towns, informal skill development with all types of knowledge in young II, the organization of various sports, humanitarian action, and action in bodies the city and the development of applications related to improving the lives of young people in the city. Our main aim is to share our experience among the associations and young people who are interested in European topics or making any project with any other European association. We believe its is important to contribute to the youth associations with resources as for example the youth programme among others .

TRAINING COURSE "CREATIVE ENTREPRENEURS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE"

The  training  course  Creative  Entrepreneurs for  Social  Change  is  developed  with  the  motto  that “a  goal  of  every  living  creature  is  to  break  out  of the  box.”  Creative  entrepreneurship  is  a  path  to stimulate  young  people's  spirit  of  initiative,  their ability  to  think  imaginatively  and  originally,  their readiness to take risk in order to achieve economic, political, social or environmental goals. During  the  eight  days  of  the  course  we pursue  activities  and  exercises  that  reinforce  some of  these  basic  creative  entrepreneurial  skills:  team building,  communication,  intercultural  competence and  creative  thinking  skills.  We  explored  why creative  thinking  is  considered  a  basic  skill  of entrepreneurship  and  improve  the  power  of participant entrepreneurs  increase  their  ability  to think creatively.Training  has  contributed  not  only  to  the personal  development  of  the  participants,  but  also to  promote  the  exchange  of  best  practices  and establish new connections throughout Europe.

 

 

Program of this training course is focused on the some of the  skills  we  find  important  for  an  entrepreneur  planned exercises  will  contribute  to  the  development  of  mainly communication and creative skills of the young participants. We gave the project title Creative Entrepreneurs for social change because we believe that creativity is one of the preconditions to be  a  good  entrepreneur.  Being  creative  means  being  able  to generate innovative project ideas, to attract people and to gain their  attention,  to  find  unexpected  solutions  for  conflicts  and problems.  In  particular  main  themes  of  exercises  and discussions are: Principles  of  the  good  entrepreneurship;  Leading international  teams  and  working  in  the  intercultural environment;  Intercultural  learning  process;  European awareness;  Team-building  and  motivating  the  team; Communication  management  in  the  team;  Facilitation  skills; Public  speech;  Techniques  of  the  creative  thinking;  Developing youth exchange projects under the Youth in Action Programme.
